Lunch at Kainuun Opisto every weekday
A tasty and versatile lunch is available in the canteen of Kainuun Opisto every weekday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. We have a daily changing main course, in addition to which the lunch includes a salad bar, breads, meal drinks, and coffee for dessert.
The folk high school lunch is open to everyone. Students, staff, and outside visitors are welcome to eat with us.

Lunch at Kainuun Opisto is an excellent choice at an affordable price. Here you dine in a relaxed atmosphere in the beautiful natural surroundings of Mieslahti, Paltamo. Follow our weekly changing lunch menu and come enjoy a tasty lunch at the college.
Restaurant services
Organize a party, meeting, or other event at Kainuun Opisto and order catering from our own kitchen. The college’s versatile facilities and beautiful environment enable large family celebrations and events for up to 200 people. You can order food and other refreshments for events from our kitchen, which prepares tasty sweet and savory pastries.
Choose the best option from ready-made menu and meeting coffee packages or agree on the content of the restaurant services with our staff!
Catering service
You can also order catering for your own parties through our kitchen. From the catering service, you can get savory pies and sweet pastries and cakes even for a large number of guests. Choose products from the catering service’s selection or tell us your wishes for what should be prepared.
You will get a pickup time from the catering service, when the fresh and high-quality items can be collected from Kainuun Opisto. In our large kitchen, we prepare items for graduations, confirmations, and memorial services, as well as smaller occasions.
